Dear Sir,

About six months ago my eleven-year-old Lexus SC400 air conditioning went out.  I was impressed that it lasted so long, but was very upset when I found out the Keyes Lexus wanted about $1400.00 to replace the unit.

My good friend, Mr. Barry Kronowitz, the owner/operator of consumer Tire and Automotive Center at 18720 Sherman Way, Reseda, CA 91335, highly recommended that I have Lucas look at my Lexus and give me an estimate on replacing the air conditioning unit.  I did, and was very favorably impressed with the cost, which was about half of the Keyes cost.  I had Lucas replace the unit, and was pleased with it until last week.

Having lived with this car for over eleven years and driving it for over 180,000 miles, I am very familiar with all of its sounds.  Last week I heard a strange noise, so when I had it serviced on June 9, 2003, I asked what was making the noise.  I was informed that it was the air conditioner compressor.

I was not pleased to hear that, as it had only been in the car for a short time.  I went to Lucas and spoke with "Joe" and informed him what I had been told by the Keyes mechanic.  At first Joe was a little skeptical as the unit was almost new.  Joe had a couple of your technicians look over the unit, and they determined that indeed the compressor was the problem.  Joe informed me that the unit would be replaced on the spot at no charge to me.

I am writing to express my thanks and gratitude for your staff's no-hassle service on the bad compressor.  I have been telling everyone that will listen about Lucas and the outstanding service I have received.
