FAQ's

Q: Do you do other work besides air conditioning?

A: Yes, we do cooling systems, heater and defrosters, O.B.D. II diagnostics and electrical work including alternators, starters, defective switches, wiring shorts, etc.

Q: Are your prices competitive?

A: Yes, we are highly competitive and do whatever we can to keep your costs down.

Q: What hours and days are you open?

A: We are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, May through October; and 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, November through April.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment?

A: It is preferred that you make an appointment during our busy season so that we may serve you better. Our busy season generally runs from April 1 through November 1. Please call our service department at (818) 782-3501 to set up an appointment. If you have an emergency we will do whatever we can to accommodate you.

Q: May I wait for my car while it is being diagnosed or repaired?

A: Yes, we have a waiting room for your convenience.

Q: Do you provide courtesy rides?

A: Yes, within a reasonable distance. Local car rental agencies provide a discount rate for our customers and pick them up at your door

Q: How long do you warranty your work?

A: All of our repairs have a 12-month warranty.

Q: Do you charge a fee to do an estimate on my vehicle?

A: An inspection of your air conditioning system is required by law before we can service it. The inspection takes one hour and costs $49.00. When it is finished, we can tell you if your car needs any repairs, what they will cost and how long it will take to make them. This fee is waived if we do any repairs or service. If you decide not to do the repairs at that time you will be charged $49.00, and will be allowed 30 days in which to return to have your vehicle repaired and receive credit for the $49.00.

Q: How much does it cost to service the air conditioniner in my vehicle?

A: For vehicles from 1995 and newer, which use 134A, the average cost to service the air conditioner is $70.00 to $80.00, depending on the amount of refrigerant. Pre-1995 vehicles may have R12, or have been converted to an alternative refrigerant; these vehicles generally cost more to service.

Q: Is Freon R12 still legal to use?

A: Freon R12 may be used as long as it is available. We currently have R12 on hand.

Q: Do you do conversions from Freon R12 to the new R134A refrigerant?

A: Yes, we do conversions.

Q: Do you accept credit cards for payment?

A: Yes, we accept American Express , Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.
